With all these worries, my stomach had problems. In my sophomore year of college, I had to receive emergency surgery on my stomach. After that, I could not eat well. I couldn’t digest any flour products, and I had to eat small amounts slowly.

I was constantly looking for a resting place within my life, and I could never find anything to relieve my feelings of stress, anxiety, anger, and sadness. I would often experience overwhelming sadness and depression, and cry when I would become overwhelmed. I would also cut myself off from all of the people around me when I was depressed, not allowing any help to come my way.

Even before I started this meditation, I was very interested in meditation and was looking for many places like temples. I haven’t started the meditation until I met this subtraction method. I attended the introductory seminar and signed up immediately because of the logical method and professional service.

Since Test Taking Anxiety Disappeared, I Can Enjoy Studying

In 8th grade, I rarely missed being first place in my class. But around that time, whenever it was test time, my stress would bother me. For 2-3 weeks during test time, I wouldn’t be able to digest anything and couldn’t eat well or sleep well either.

My pride was strong, I was very stubborn, and I had a lot of attachments. I had to be better than others.  So I dwelled on a lot of things. 

The Search

Early on, my mind was full of fear, pain, and uncertainty. As a teenager, I sought answers and freedom from these feelings by rebelling, quitting school, and starting a job. At first, I got into trouble often and even almost died in an accident. Later, I pursued success, money, fame, respect, and admiration. Everything ended in failure, though.
